چکیده

Numerical study of natural convection around a heated trapezoidal block different sizes located centrically in larger trapezium has been investigated. The annulus between the trapeziums is filled with porous media. sides inner are to fixed temperature (T_h), and slanted walls outer adiabatic while its upper lower temperatures 〖T_c+(T_h-T_c)sin〗⁡(πx⁄L) 〖T_h+(T_h-T_c)sin〗⁡(πx⁄L) respectively. finite element numerical approach was used solve relevant dimensionless equations. Results gotten for salient parameters including; modified Rayleigh number (10≤Ra_m≤ 1000), Darcy (10^(-5)≤Da≤ 10^(-2)), area ratio (1/5≤AR≤ 1/3). results this shown as isothermal contours, stream functions, average Nusselt number. show that increasing Ra_m improves heat transfer; however, response thermal characteristics AR increment depends on range considered. from find application ingot treatments microchannel cooling among others.

Numerical study of double-diffusive natural convective heat transfer in a curved cavity filledwith a porous medium has been carried out in the current study. Polar system has beenselected as coordinate system. As a result, all equations have been discredited in r and θdirections. Brinkmann extended Darcy model has been utilized to express fluid flow inporous matrix in the enclosure. Smaller and...

Numerical Study of Natural Convection in a Square Cavity Filled with a Porous Medium Saturated with Nanofluid

Steady state natural convection of Al2O3-water nanofluid inside a square cavity filled with a porous medium is investigated numerically. The temperatures of the two side walls of the cavity are maintained at TH and TC, where TC has been considered as the reference condition. The top and the bottom horizontal walls have been considered to be insulated i.e., non-conducting and impermeable to mass...

Investigation of Natural Convection in a Vertical Cavity Filled with a Anisotropic Porous Media

In present paper, a numerical analysis for a rectangular cavity filled with a anisotropic porous media has been studied. It is assumed that the horizontal walls are adiabatic and impermeable, while the side walls of the cavity are maintained at constant temperatures and concentrations. The buoyancy force that induced the fluid motion are assumed to be cooperative. In the two extreme cases o...
